Zachary Bresnick

Zachary Bresnick, a 2016 Vision Fellow and MVRHS alumni, graduated from Northeastern University in May 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering and minor in Sustainable Energy Systems. While at Northeastern, Zach completed three co-ops at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, SourceOne, and Energy & Resource Solutions, working as an energy manager, analyst, and engineer, respectively. In Summer of 2021, Zach joined HomeWorks Energy as an Energy Consultant where he conducted energy audits on behalf of the MassSave Program, and helped MA residents take advantage of state funds and optimize their homes. In his year at HomeWorks, Zach assessed over 500 homes and apartments and eliminated over 4,000 tons of carbon emissions. In August 2022, Zach joined the Preservation of Affordable Housing (POAH) as an Energy Management Associate. His focus is on improving building performance across POAH’s portfolio of properties by monitoring utility data, researching local programs & utility incentives, and implementing energy conservation strategies. Zach looks forward to spreading sustainable practices on a (local and) national scale within the affordable housing industry.
