Barbara Conroy

Barbara Conroy's year-long Vision Fellowship in 2014 enabled her to act as Town Energy Fellow to assist the up-Island towns of West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah in sustainable energy planning. Barbara carried forward work started by former Vision Fellow Wesley Look and aided West Tisbury in the implementation of the Massachusetts Green Communities program, for which West Tisbury received an initial $140,000 round of funding. Barbara has also helped Chilmark and Aquinnah assess the merits of joining the program and has helped Island towns take advantage of existing resources from the Cape Light Compact. Barbara’s mentor for this project was Paul Pimental of The Vineyard Energy Project.
