Sponsoring Organizations
The Martha’s Vineyard Vision Fellowship fosters a “partnership for growth” among each Fellow, the Fellow’s sponsoring organization and, when appropriate, with the Fellow’s mentor. A Fellow’s sponsoring organization is the Island-based nonprofit or progressive business for which the Fellow works, interns or volunteers. Each sponsoring organization is demonstrably committed to working within one or more of the Vision Fellowship’s sustainability interest areas. Mentors
A Fellow’s mentor helps the Fellow to set goals, to design meaningful internships, work experiences or sustainability projects, and to implement the Fellow’s educational and professional development plan. A mentor is often from within the Fellow’s sponsoring organization.
Strong Community
Current Fellows, alumni, mentors and sponsoring organizations form a powerful community of Islanders who meet periodically to share knowledge of their particular fields and of their work towards a sustainable future for Martha’s Vineyard.
