David Bouck

David Bouck, a 2006 Vision Fellow, earned his Bachelor’s of Environmental Science from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts, in 2009. David worked with The Trustees of Reservations, his sponsoring organization during his Fellowship, at Long Point Wildlife Refuge for 10 summers between 2003 and 2013. He worked as a conservation ranger and educator, and finally as their up-island superintendent.  During the off-season between 2009 and 2013, he worked and volunteered for the National Park Service at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. In 2017, David earned his Master’s degree in Coastal Zone Management through the University of Miami’s Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science

From June 2017 through June 2019, David served as a crew leader with the United States Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Island Ecosystem Research Center, based in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, HI.  He was responsible for managing field operations for a two-year ecosystem restoration study funded by the National Science Foundation. 

In summer 2019, David returned to Martha's Vineyard and serves as Director of Science and Collaboration at Great Pond Foundation.
