Haven Huck
A 2019 Vision Fellow, Haven Huck earned her Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in trauma and violence, with honors, through Boston University’s Online Graduate Program for Clinical Social Work in August 2021. During her three-year program, she completed two on-Island field placements: one at Island Counseling Center working as a clinician; and one at the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School (MVPCS) as an adjustment counselor. She now works full-time as an adjustment counselor at MVPCS. During her Fellowship, Haven also interned with CONNECT to End Violence, a program of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, where she provided advocacy, accompaniment and counseling services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. She also worked as a Domestic and Rape Crisis Counselor with CONNECT, having been offered the position upon earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University in 2018.
