Ken Wentworth and Liz Witham

Ken Wentworth and Liz Witham were awarded a two-year Vision Fellowship in 2014 to create documentary videos for Film-Truth Production, Inc.’s “Sustainable Vineyard” series. The series’ objectives were to share good ideas and to foster community identity by highlighting Islanders working towards mutual cooperation and self-sufficiency in creating a sustainable community and environment. The episodes Liz and Ken created highlighted the work of Vision Fellows and have been distributed locally through public screenings, local libraries and public television broadcast.
Two of the films are:
The Secret Life of Conch - Conch are the Island’s largest fishery. Yet, yet we know very little about them. Shelley Edmundson (2011 Vision Fellow) aims to change that through her groundbreaking research that explores the hidden lives of conch with the goal of making the fishery sustainable for years to come.
Goatscaping - When challenged with how to clear invasive bittersweet from difficult to reach Cedar Tree neck, Director of Stewardship at Sheriff’s Meadow Kristen Fauteux (2012 Vision Fellow) decided that goats might be the answer. She partnered with Rebecca Gilbert and Randy Ben David from Native Earth Teaching farm and the result has been a fun and effective way to keep the invasives at bay.
