Nedine Cunningham

Nedine Cunningham, a 2023 Vision Fellow, is earning a Master of Social Work from Syracuse University through a program that emphasizes social justice and highlights the importance of using race and culture as a lens for understanding and treating clients. Nedine has taught middle school social studies at Edgartown School since 2004. Her goal now is to shift her role within the Island’s school system to become either a social worker or an adjustment counselor. The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School has a tiered system of support that helps educators provide academic and behavioral strategies for students with various needs. Nedine hopes to increase tiered support for the Island's K-6 students.
