Tyler Studds

Tyler Studds, a 2009 Vision Fellow, currently serves as Head of Offshore Wind Business Development - West at Ocean Winds in Redondo Beach, CA. From 2011 until 2018, Tyler worked at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, a public agency dedicated to accelerating the success of clean energy technologies, companies and projects while creating high-quality jobs and long-term economic growth for the people of Massachusetts. In his role as the Senior Manager of Offshore Wind Sector Development leading a range of initiatives that include metocean data, supply chain analysis, marine wildlife studies, transmission and workforce development.

During his Vision fellowship, Tyler designed and managed an offshore wind GIS site selection and community engagement process for the Vineyard Power Cooperative. As a fellow, he also was enrolled in a post-baccalaureate certificate program to study Geographic Information Systems through Penn State. He pursued additional learning opportunities through organizations such as the Consensus Building Institute in Cambridge to explore different group decision strategies, and Clark Labs in Worcester, a geospatial research and development lab associated with Clark University.
