Victoria Scott
A 2019 Vision Fellow, Victoria Scott majored in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Ecology and Earth Systems, and a minor in Geology/Earth and Climate Sciences at Bates College. While at Bates, Victoria participated in research aimed at determining carbon sequestration rates in New England salt marsh habitat. She also has worked with members of the Lewiston community on affordable housing design, sustainable urban planning, and creating green spaces in cities that are accessible and environmentally beneficial. Victoria is an MVRHS graduate and an Island native. She is an accomplished violinist and tennis player who taught tennis at Vineyard Youth Tennis (now Vineyard Family Tennis) and was also co-caption of the MVRHS Girls’ Varsity Tennis Team. She has been fishing the Island’s waters since she was a child and was a weigh station volunteer for the Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby for six years. Victoria is now a staff geologist at Roux, an environmental and management consulting business, in Burlington, MA.
